Mojo Pies
Has anyone other me tried these great little things? They are kinda like pot pies, but they are made so you can eat them by hand and they are better than pot pies. They are an Australian thing. I am told that in Australia the eat them at sporting event kinda like we here in the states do hot dogs or hamburgers. I have had some of them and they are great! The professional golf Geoff Oglevy is part owner of this company. I encourage you to try them if you get a chance check them out on there site. www.mojopies.com

Re: Mojo Pies
I have eaten at a Shaky's somewhere it seems. Maybe not. The first time I had one of these pies was at the FBR Open/Phoenix Golf open this year. Monkey, if you get a chance to try them do it you will not regret it.

I went to the website and the only states they are sold in are AZ and Kan. You can order them online in boxes of 12.

Re: Mojo Pies
Interesting. The historical town in Louisiana that I went to High School in considers itself the home of the"meat pie" which looks like a hot pocket only preceded them by many years and was homemade so 1000 times better.
"The Meat Pie is a unique blend of ground beef, ground pork, onions, green onions and special seasonings folded into a crescent shaped pastry that is deep fried."(from their website). You buy them frozen and cook them at home. They didn't look anything like your mojo pies but they were sure good. Your mojo pies look like some of the frozen quiche pies in the Kroger freezer case only different ingredients. When I get to AZ I will have to check them out! |
