Purchasing a Modem Fan.

My fan in my modem went out.
Does anybody know where a DA-Tech 0925-12hbta-2 E186583 might be purchased ?
We contacted Dell they didn't have it in stock, and they said it would several wks. before one could be in stock.
My local Radio Shack was out and their IT guy was out.
Remember I live in a small town, does anybody know of any sites where such things might be purchased ?

Is this a cable modem? Who makes it? Might it just be easier to buy another modem?

I've never had a modem with its own fan....

Sounds like a part that should only cost a few bucks IF you can get it.

What kind of modem is this? Since you called Dell I'm assuming it must be one of the business modems they sell. Use the thing for a door stop from now on and for $15.00 you can get a PCI modem card with no moving parts. If you don't have a slot available, US Robotics has external modems starting at $25.

I've got some v90/92 PCI modems around here. I take the modem card out if it comes with a computer to free up a slot for the inevitable graphics upgrade that is needed when you don't buy the cutting edge PC models..

Ive probably got some lying around too lol. If it's just a dialup modem they are cheap, but I can't understand how or why it has a fan on it.....
