Funeral for Bro. Earl Thomas

I just returned from a funeral for Bro. Earl Thomas in Huntingdon, TN. He pastored UPC churches for many, many years. He and his wife would have been married 62 years this Saturday. It was sad, just because I'm very close to his family, but it was mostly a celebration of his life. I saw lots of UPC people I hadn't seen for years. Pastor Marty Johnson preached it, and did a great job.

Haddock, if you read this, I got to visit with Delonna Johnson, Sheila Sykes, Sheila Flowers, and many more. Mike Tuminello was even there. It's sad that funerals seem to be the only time we all connect.

Ummmmm.....nobody from L & T Savannah other than Pastor Philip, but I didn't really expect anyone today. There was only Caleb and Micah & Michelle from FP, and Bob, Mary Lou & Vickie. That's all that I remember. It was so good to see Sherry & Doug - it's been 18 months or more.

Sherri,

Where is Mike Tuminelo now? (I assume he is pastoring)

Mike is pastoring somewhere in the Dallas area, I think. He said that Natalie, his daughter who is about 27 now, is married and they are youth pastors at Bro. Hennigan's (?) church, which I think is also in the Dallas area.

I had not heard Bro. Thomas had passed away. Such a fine man. I have good memories of him and his wife. I seem to only see old friends at funerals as well -- even some family!

He died early Saturday morning, I think.
