What If Your Church Board Told You "Get In The UPC Or Leave?"

I believe that I would request a business meeting for discussion. If it were clear that the majority wanted a UPC pastor and I didn't want to join, rather than cause a split, I would simply leave.

I went through a similar situation. When I signed the AS for the last time, I told the church I pastored that I would not be signing again and that they had 1 year to decide if they wanted a UPC pastor or change the by-laws. 1 year later, they decided 100% to change the by-laws.

From everthing I have read. I would attend a church you pastor if we lived in the same town.
