The New Obama

the pundits are saying it and he is doing it, swingin to the center, ala Bill Clinton , very soon after vanquishing Hilary for the nomination, I even heard him say with my own ears this mornin that he is a free trader, this has to be disappointing to the Obama crowd, hmmm, interesting, dt

Which proves that his advisor was right that a few months back told some business group that Obama's anti NAFTA rhetoric was just campaign talk and he didn't mean it.

He will probably try to nuance it that he is a "free trader" "but with restrictions" or some other sort of Democrat doubletalk.

Let's face it. It doesn't really matter what he does at this point, right? Ah - he's leaning more liberal. Now he's leaning more towards the middle. He's catering to the democrats that got him the nomination. But wait, now he's trying to get the Republican vote. Blah Blah Blah. I think we should just have a standing thread titled:

Can you believe Obama is doing [insert anything here]?!! It's the absolute WORST thing he could possibly do!!! Our country is doomed! We're all going to die!!

It sure would save some time. :drama

:bliss

In all fairness, McCain has portrayed himself as a conservative in order to sway the right to vote for him. Obama has been advised to embrass a more central message in order to sway independents and some republicans to vote for him. There really wasn't any difference between the two.

At the end of the day, politicians are in it to win and they will do whatever it takes to be the victor!

I think that Obama and McCain should run together -- we're gonna get the same stuff no matter which wins, so let's give it to both of them, they can co-rule the empire.
