Biblical Church Goverment?
Ok I'll ask this question.
What is the correct way for a NT.assembly to be set up? In order for a church to qualify as a NT. assembly what form of church goverment should it have? |

I do have some views as much of Western Christianity is modeled after The RCC due to post-Reformation thought
Alot of it stems from a system of rank rather a rather a Priesthood of believers. There are those who ordained to oversight postions or callings but dominance and sheperding are vastly different. But I did want to hear from others ,and yes this a subject I want to study out some more. |
As I have stated before when threads were started about this subject on FCF and then NFCF, I believe there is no comprehensive New Testament plan for church government and I think God did that on purpose.
Church government should serve the Gospel in whatever is the best possible way for the culture and time period the church is in. A church under persecution in a communist country like China may work better with a much different church government than in a free Western democracy. |
CC1 I know that the church is culturally diverse, but don't you think we can look in the book of Acts and see a working model for Christian assemblies?

I think people get caught up in trying to copy / emulate things that God never intended for them to and that he doesn't give a hoot about. |

Is there any Proof that One is higher than another in rank? Apostles in the begining I see higher, simply because of the fact they walked and talked with Jesus exept Paul, But he was knocked off his horse by Jesus and spoken too personally. But the Apostles died... and time moved on thousands of years later. Apostles are no longer writting letters. And some how these letters became the Bible. |
