To Our Esteemed Delegates

Greetings from the International Headquarters of the Church of Our Lord Jesus Christ in New York City! On behalf of the International Convention Committee and with great excitement I write to you regarding the 89th International Holy Convocation, that will be held July 30-August 3, 2008 in the beautiful city of Atlanta, Georgia. The committee is making every effort possible to assure you that this will be a great and memorable event for each of our delegates.


Thank you, Chief Apostle WL Bonner for leading the Church of Our Lord Jesus Christ in a way that has made it "Christ Centered" and Family oriented. Thank you, Presiding Apostle Matthew A. Norwood, for taking the mantle in helping us to continue to pursue greater excellence in God. We salute and applaud our former Presider Apostle James I. Clark, Jr., for his excellent Godly leadership, and the entire board of Apostles & Bishops for providing such great leadership to the body of Christ.


In choosing our Speakers and Workshop Presenters, our leadership team is working very hard to ensure that we provide you with the maximum level of information and spiritual direction. It is our prayer that you will be encouraged, equipped, and enriched in your walk with Jesus Christ. The Convention Committee is striving to ensure that the 89th Convocation is one of the best ever!

Is the old Bishop Bonner who pastored Refuge Temple and used to be on the radio some affiliated with this org?

Yes Chief Apostle Bonner (who is 87 now and my Pastor) is still over the organization. Understand this saints, in order to preach at our conventions you have to be apostolic (meaning baptise in Jesus Name and teach the infilling of the Holy Ghost Acts 2:38 style) so with that in mind, unlike the PAW who allows trinitarians, we do not. All speakers for the mid-day services are our guest apostolic preachers. At night time, we will run an in house preaching circle. Kent Branch, (former member of Greater Refuge Temple NYC), Michael Rogers (a part of the Bible Way COOLJC split that still does not ordain women...Huie Rogers in NYC is his father and Pastor Walker (grew up at Greater Refuge Temple NYC......saved at Bible Way under Huie Rogers, came back into the Church of Our Lord under Apostle Wilbur Jones....then started Love Fellowship who teaches the same thing we all do. Its basically an in house speakers forum with the broken branches returning.

I don't know much about the other men, but I remember listening to Bishop Bonner all the time. I think he had a regular radio brodcast that aired in Liberia when we were there. He really made an impact on me as a youth and in my ministry by being one of the first ministers outside of my family that I really looked up to. You all had a big Refuge Temple in Liberia as well and we used to fellowship together (Apostolic churches over there do that more than here). I am sure that Bishop Bonner came there once while I was over there.

I will let you know as soon as the Convocation is finished. Not sure if we are going to have a live Webcast (that would be nice for a change) but as soon as we get back from ATL I will let you know.

Remember folks, The Church Of Our Lord Jesus Christ (founded by R.C. Lawson) has been around since the PAW - COOLJC split, way before all these other apostolic organizations popped up. Yall got to do some research. Bonner is one of the "Last of the Mohequans". Ask any UPCI pastor (including Brother Hayney who knows Bishop Bonner veryyyyyyyyy well. I asked him myself on a flight to Little Rock a few weeks ago.

That's one of the reasons the PAW had the recent split where
Brizer left and others. will be interesting to see who they have
speak this year after all that drama from the last 3 years.
BUt let me say, just not having Trins preach is not the only thing
that matters! To be a "Bishop" you should be above reproach and
of course Im not talking about Bonner......no names nametiond
