Created For Good Works
 
Eph 2:8 For by grace you have been saved through faith. And this is not your own doing; it is the gift of God,
Eph 2:9 not a result of works, so that no one may boast.
Eph 2:10 For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand, that we should walk in them.

Not saved BY good works, saved to DO good works

Check out the meaning of "workmanship" in the greek. Our salvation is amazing.

He molded us and made us all differently, to be able to accomplish what he planned for us before we ever knew him.

Tit 3:8 This is a faithful saying, and these things I will that thou affirm constantly, that they which have believed in God might be careful to maintain good works. These things are good and profitable unto men.

Heb 10:24 And let us consider one another to provoke unto love and to good works:

1Pe 2:12 Having your conversation honest among the Gentiles: that, whereas they speak against you as evildoers, they may by your good works, which they shall behold, glorify God in the day of visitation.

If that's not enough scripture to convince us our actions need to be good nothing will.

Unfortunately the freedom and perhaps the anonymity of forum land seems to bring out a lot of the opposite type of provoking........
