Pastor Killed
 

One of our Love & Truth pastors, his wife, and their assistant pastor were just shot and killed in the Philippines by Muslim rebel forces. Please pray for this family and church as they try to recover. The island of Mindanao is in turmoil - talking about fullblown war at this point. The President has finally sworn to destroy the rebel army, no matter what it takes. Many many people are without homes and food.

We are so blessed to live in America!

Please let Eddie know how sorry I am for this loss and I will be praying for the church in the Phillipines and this situation in particular. This is terrible news. It is amazing to think that in the 21st century there still has to be Christian martyrs.

Thanks, AG. We've never met this particular pastor, but it still really hit me hard. We complain about so much, and these people just gave their lives for the sake of the gospel.

We were in training seminars this morning with all of our U.S. churches, and we got the email and read it to the people there. It was a very sober and "weepy" moment as we all prayed for our brothers & sisters overseas. We will be taking up a special offering at all the churches here Wednesday to send over there to help during the fighting. I feel like it's Kenya turmoil all over again!

Oh gosh. I always knew it was so dangerous there. The Muslim rebels care about nobody. They don't care if you are there independent of the government. They are extremists. I am so sorry for this loss.

We just had a missionary couple here on their way to PI. They aren't heading to the Muslim area though but to the "head hunter area".

I have to tell you if I had my choice I would choose the head hunter area. Those brothers and sisters were very brave and dedicated to the cause of Christ.

While we are praying for their family and the church let us also pray for those rebels too that their blinded eyes will be open and they would turn to God

We prayed this today in our service - that the murderers would find Christ. That would be the only good I could see coming from this tragedy.
