The Critics Aren't Always Right ?

And when Jesus was in Bethany at the house of Simon the leper,a woman came to Him having an albaster flask of very costly fragrant oil,and she poured it on His head,as He sat on the table. But when His disciples saw it,they were indignant saying,Why this waste ? For this fragrant oil might be sold to the poor.

But when Jesus was aware of it,He said to them,Why do you trouble the woman ?
For she has done a good work for Me.For you have the poor with you always, but me you have not always.
For in pouring this fragrant oil on my body, she did it for My burial.
Assuredly I say to you, wherever this gospel is preached in the whole world, what this woman has done will also be told as a memorial to her.
MATT.26:6,7,8,9,10,11,12,13 NKJV

Here we have the disciples of Our Lord, being critical of the woman who poured, the albaster flask on Jesus's head, yet Jesus said she did a good work.
The critics aren't always right.

You see in our living the Christian walk,we will encounter critics in the church who will say you should do this,or you shouldn't do that,or you are too this or too that.
Yet in pleasing Christ and walking after The Holy Spirit, you'll find you can't make everybody happy, and if you try you'll go crazy.
For you see the critics aren't always right.

Yes there will be always be critics who are our brothers and sisters.
There are always those with critical spirits who always find fault, but that shouldn't deter us from pouring our albasters flasks on Jesus's head so to speak,we should give our costly sacrifices to Christ, because the critics aren't always right.

Good word, Bro. Scott. Very good word. See? Good things come out of Alabama!

This made me think of Simon Peter. He is often criticized for sinking when he stepped out on the water to follow Jesus. I can only imagine what the other disciples said and thought. But what they said and thought didn't seem to matter to Peter. What the Lord said to Peter is all that mattered. True, he sunk, yet he had enough gumption at least to obey the voice of the Lord!
