Its one of their oldest tactics. Gerald Ford the tripping, buffoon who ran against the brilliant Jimmy Carter. Ronald Reagan was a lightweight, B-list actor and Walter Mondale was the sharp, persuasive statesman. George HW Bush and Dan Quayle were idiots compared to the intelligence of Dukakis and Benson. And of course, Clinton and Gore were mental giants when up against Dole and Kemp. Again W could not even begin to touch the mesmerizing of Gore. And Kerry was such a brain when paralleled to stupid ole W.

Now its Obama the great orator, the Ivy League newspaper editor, the community organizer. The Democrats are always so much more intelligent, superior. That's why Hollywood loves them. They reinforce the notion that the urban centers of the East Coast and West Coast are comprised of the intelligensia while the heartland produces the Neanderthals who still believe that dinosaurs roamed the earth 4,000 years ago.

McCain is an American hero. They aren't going to portray him as stupid. But in Miss Palin they have found their flunky. Notwithstanding that this woman is accomplished as and has done more in her 44 years than many women do in a lifetime. She is a conservative, a Christian, a gun owner, a hunter, an outdoorswoman, a former beauty queen, a former sportcaster, etc.

She's too stupid to be VP. Too stupid to be a heartbeat from the Oval Office. She didn't go to Yale, Harvard or Columbia. She didn't abort her Down's Syndrome child. Her 17 year old is pregnant, and isn't gong to abort the child. She is going to choose to get married, rather than abort the baby and think about her education and career. Her husband is a union worker.

Compared to Hillary she is a dwarf. Compared to Pelosi, Streisand, Boxer, Winfrey, Faye, Dowd, Quinn or any of the other brilliant liberal women of celebrity, Palin doesn't desreve to be in the room with them. These women are educated, talented, articulate, modern, and classy. These poor trollips the Republicans roll out are nothing more than trailer trash.

Yet she is the very thing Washington and the world needs. Someone who knows what life is like in our world. Most of us don't have high brow educations, we haven't hob nobbed with the rich and famous. Most of us don't have personal trainers or go get augmentations or lifts or tucks.

Most of us know how to balance our checking accounts, we know how to make dollars stretch, most if us know how to cook for ourselves and we take out our own trash.

If being real is stupid, if being authentic is stupid, if being genuine is stupid, then I'd rather be stupid. Its better to be labeled stupid by the elite than to be delusional.

That has and always will be the stance of the democrats. They swear that republicans think they are better than the rest and that republicans want to take us back to the days of kings and queens with the royalty and the surfs. Yet THEY (democrat politicians and their croonies) KNOW what is right and good for ALL the world. They are the ones who are smarter than the rest and deserve to make our laws, spend our money, etc etc.
They are not so stupid as to believe in a God. They are the ones that are not stupid enough to believe in creationism. They are the ones that are so smart as to know that if you own a gun you are going to go on a shooting spree and kill everyone. they are the ones that know that if you don't want to have a baby you just have it aborted, forget using protection, forget the fact that you are murdering a life.
Lets save those whales, bears, and trees though. Kill your baby save a tree.
Yep that makes them smart enough to run our country and tell all us stupid ones how to live.

If Democrats are so smart and Republicans stupid, how come EVERY SINGLE ONE of America's worst-run big cities (crime ridden/financially strapped, etc) is run by Democrats? Baltimore, Detroit, Philladelphia, etc etc?

And California was like $20 Billion in debt a few years ago before Schwarzenegger took over... financially run into the ground not by Republican leadership,but by Democrats.

Yeah, they're so smart. Right.

The key word being tactic. Just as they know they have certain demographics in the bag for them, they know that you're already in the bag for the other guy. This tactic is for swaying the center, the undecideds and independents. By definition, the undecided are people who are capable of believing this stuff. The Dems know that this tactic is going to aggravate you. But it isn't about you - it's about instilling doubt in a dubious demographic.
This is another non-endearing trait of the Democrat party: The continual effort to corrupt the meaning of words. Desirous of the practice of abortion to be uninhibited is "pro-choice." Working to limit liberty for average people is "liberal." For us to call stupid the way that Democrats carry on is insulting to stupid people. The bible has a word for people who war against tradition and wisdom, and it isn't a kind word.
This is an excellent line. However, I fear that you will find that "the elite" encompasses a group of people who have been simmering in Washington for so long that they stink, and it includes both Democrats and Republicans.

Yeah that means she has spent her life living like the rest of us versus living in a glass bubble called Washington DC. If there is anyone in this race that knows how most Americans live its Sarah. I'd rather have someone like her in the Oval Office than career politicians.
