Seems like this type of thing is growing |
Re: XUPCer Starting GAY Church in Bakersfield
His church is called Freedom in Christ?
That was probably a typo... Freedom FROM Christ maybe? (and freedom from truth) |

Pentecostal Herald October 2008 issue has a great article on homosexuality written by a former gay now UPC preacher. |

Just a note of observation: I scoured their website front to back and did not see one reference to Pentecost or Apostolic. Their "belief statement" looked not much different than a oneness baptist church. Plus, is there not already a actual org. that is gay pentecost ? Why didn't he join that org.? |
Re: XUPCer Starting GAY Church in Bakersfield
It is incredible that this would be in their beliefs section:
"Whereas the church is comprised of redeemed people, born of the Holy Spirit of God and called by His Name, we encourage every believer to live a life of holiness unto the Lord, abstaining from the appearance of evil and all addictions of the flesh. We are to flee worldliness and carnality in pursuit of the righteousness of God in our lives." On a related note, does anyone know of a gay or lesbian "church" that teaches the need for the infilling of the Holy Ghost and speaking in tongues? |

I thought there was one. It was posted about on this forum a few months back. A break off just like this one only they claim the Pentecost experience. |
