Recent Events-Are They Affecting You?
 

In light of the recent money matters of the last few weeks & the resulting credit crunch, has any of this affected you?

I am thinking of foreclosure or possible foreclosure, or job losses or threat of job losses, credit crunch, delayed payment of wages, etc;

Perhaps it isn't affected you in that way but maybe you are making changes in other ways like paying down some debt, not eating out as often, not taking a vacation this year.

Anybody affected?

Lost about 550,000 in my invetsments over night. That's a 5 % loss me for.





















































OK I wish I had enough money that 550,000 would only be a 5% loss of the total.






Really, Just paying more for gas and a over all increase in monthly expenses for food, water etc....

Yes. I am jelous. My cube mate bought a brand new car yesterday and got a 4.5% interest rate.

she had no problems getting a loan.

My Pastor spoke on Abraham & Faith last Sunday.
He said something that was another eye opener to me.

He said, "Abraham is the father of the faithful & is spoken highly of in the Bible as a man of faith yet he wasn't entirely 100% faithful or perfect.

He lied, he went to Egypt during a famine instead of staying at Bethel.

In fact he was a lot like us in his humanity.

God worked through him & he will work through imperfect you and me!

I use to sell Cars & best I would buy is a demo or slightly use.

It has bothered me a little bit - just thinking of what might be to come and being alone it does concern me a bit.

Not to mention my 401(k) has dropped significantly.

it has regained about a third of yesterdasy loss...
