To be fair there are a few listed on CNN against Palin, but most of them instead of saying false say misleading. Lol!

She called the supreme NATO commander in Afghanistan, Gen David McKiernan, “McClellan” - twice. She also said that “we are now down to pre-surge levels in Iraq.” In fact, the number of troops is several thousand higher than before the surge, though the 5 brigades introduced have all left. |
Re: Joe Biden's 14 Lies during the debate
Biden saying the surge wouldn't work in Afghanistan is ridiculous when he calls for adding 15,000 more - that is a surge. LOL!
Biden also said - Pakistan has ballistic missiles (potentially) nuclear tipped that could reach Israel. Not true. Their missiles could reach India, but not Israel. Big mistake on his part. He also said Iran is not close to getting a nuclear weapon, though the latest report or assessment from Weapons inspector David Kay, among others, is that Iran is 80% there. |
Re: Joe Biden's 14 Lies during the debate
Biden stretch on the amount we spend every three weeks in Iraq compared to what we have invested in Afghanistan:
Statistics from The Congressional Research Service (posted on the website of the Center for Arms Control and Nuclear Non-Proliferation) show that our biggest Iraq expenditure came in Fiscal Year 2008 and reached $158 billion – or $3 billion per week. This means that Biden’s “three weeks in Iraq” would cost $9 billion at most. And what about our commitment to Afghanistan? Has it really been $9 billion over seven years, as Biden suggested? The truth is we’ve spent $177.5 total in Afghanistan (compared to $661.1 billion in Iraq). This means that Biden either over-stated the cost of our war in Iraq TWENTY TIMES, or else understated the cost of our war in Afghanistan by a factor of twenty. Either way, he is wrong. Sarah Palin was right, however, not to call him on it – and to lose the audience in a duel over statistics. But moderator Gwen Ifill (who otherwise did a fair and capable job, it seems to me) should have at least asked Biden for the source of his startling claim. Michael Medved http://townhall.com/blog |
Re: Joe Biden's 14 Lies during the debate
They don't care if it's correct or not - they just want people to hear it. So many will not bother to check out what's true and what's not.
