I have no issue with being contemporary, or being Oh, should I say it relevant! But I think at times people who engage almost becomes Worshiping our Worship.

What would they ever do without a techno beat, light shows, wild hairdo's, youthful contemporary leaders?

If they are ever thrown in the sea of spiritual formation and told to tread water spiritually they would drown not having learned the essence of worship, submission, brokeness and giving up your rights to run your life.

WOAH! That is one of the worst things I've seen to try to pass as worship! That's the kind of assembly where the "worship leader" thinks, "Ok, so what crazy things can I make people do today? Since I have the microphone and all..." For our brethren that don't know, the song they were singing was an 80's pop song, they just changed the words a bit. That's not "contemporary worship", that's not worship period. That's foolishness, and I'm just glad that wasn't an apostolic assembly, although some apostolic assemblies are getting there. If I were in a service where they were doing that I'd leave... needless to say, I was the kid at Youth Congress who didn't give into their antics.
