Matt Maddix is going to be in our area sunday night and since we only have 1 service Ill get to go hear him. Im excited about it Ive seen some of his boot camp america videos and have heard people talk about em'. I dont know if hes going to be talking about evangelism or preaching a sermon. I was courious if anyone has been to the bootcamps ,what it was like etc. If anyone has heard him preach? .....I know its asking alot but please be civil...lets not attack anyone if its not nice please dont say it.

My husband went to one of the boot camps and enjoyed it immensely. MM is enthusiastic, no doubt about it. :) Personally, I think there's room for variety in the ministry, and MM certainly represents the wild and crazy end of the spectrum.

I have to say I am passionate about souls but I could never go along with the stuff he does.

Have been calling his church, talking to people and leaving messages - trying to get someone to call me back about our interest to host a SWBC. It's been three months and not one call back. Getting discouraged. On the other hand, maybe Jesus wants to deal with us personally on how to do it. Maybe MM isn't the only one that knows how to win souls. Hmmm...

He is a good man who is used by God in a great way though. My son received the Holy Ghost in a service while he was preaching! He's also very down-to-earth. Not much ego there that I've witnessed (which is so common with popular preaches).

MM is no longer pastoring and his swbc stuff goes through his wedsite bootcampamerica.tv

He is basing out of Jack Cunningham's church in Virginia.

I've heard him preach about evangelism several times. I absolutely loved it! Especially when he jumped up on the podium and somersaulted down the aisle.

Although some may criticize such antics, his enthusiasm is infectious, his message is sincere, and what he preaches and practices actually WORKS. :)

Thanks. Since there is no way to submit feedback through his site, I was using the phone number that is included at the bottom of the main page. Left several messages and even talked to someone who sounded like she was, perhaps, and office manager or something like that. Still nothing. It's starting to look like God is closing that door. We're committing to more fervent prayer for direction before we pursue reaching out to him anymore.
