Website claims to show proof that Obama was member of Socialist New Party!


In June sources released information that during his campaign for the State Senate in Illinois, Barack Obama was endorsed by an organization known as the Chicago "New Party". The 'New Party' was a political party established by the Democratic Socialists of America (the DSA) to push forth the socialist principles of the DSA by focusing on winnable elections at a local level and spreading the Socialist movement upwards.

From the October 1996 Update of the DSA 'New Party':
"New Party members are busy knocking on doors, hammering down lawn signs, and phoning voters to support NP candidates this fall. Here are some of our key races...

Illinois: Three NP-members won Democratic primaries last Spring and face off against Republican opponents on election day: Danny Davis (U.S. House), Barack Obama (State Senate) and Patricia Martin (Cook County Judiciary)."

just because a socialist supports Obama, doesn't mean that Obama is a socialist. You are complicit in a smear campaign and is very unchristian like.

what is to fear from socialists? the soviet union collapsed, communism is dead, market economies are the only valid form of government. The only question is between totalitarian markets like China and free markets like the U.S. The solution is somewhere in the middle with a more regulated market. What is there to fear from socialism in the U.S. except more government funded healthcare which is already the norm in Europe?

China has a market economy. What fear is there of the U.S. becoming more like China? We love our politics too much. We have elections and a free media that are both protected by the constitution. How can America become socialist?

Russia also has a market economy, there's no going back except for more regulation. So what's to fear from socialism?

in this case, it isnt a socialist that is endorsing Obama. in this case, it seems that Obama may have been part of a socalist group whos constitution was so unconstitutional that they had to disband.

That means Obama shares their core beliefs.

As it relates to endorsements, I for one think William Ayers endorsement of Obama is important!

William Ayers hates what America IS. However, he beleives that Barak Obama is the man who can change America into something he can like.

THAT is proof enough to me that Barak Obama is a terrible choice for President!

I think not.. the party didnt simply endorse him. They claimed him as one of their members!! See the difference?

But you seem to be clearly disnterested in the facts.

However, since you cant be bothered reading the articles to gather the facts, let me bring some of the relevant parts of the article to you, ok?

Start with these, ok:
