Sumerian Cuneiform Scripts

What do you think of this.

According to history Uranus was first recorded in 1690, but thought to be a star. William Herschel discovered it as a planet in 1781.

Neptune was discovered in 1846....by James Challis (who recorded it first, but did not realize what it was) and Johann Galle (who knew exactly what he was observing).

Pluto was discovered by Clyde Tombaugh in 1930

But the Sumerian Cuneiform scripts not only pointed out all of these planets in their writings but correctly depicted the size, position & color of these planets thousands of years before we "discovered" them. Probes that are moving to the outer planets are verifying that the colors and other descriptive information written by the Sumerians was correct.

The Sumerians also list one other planet that we have yet to discover.

D4T, you know what I love about you?

I love the fact that you can always be counted on to share information that is completely different from the usual fare.

Not to mention that I happen to find most of what you bring utterly fascinating.

It's good to know that life on the farm hasn't changed you!

As for the topic at hand? I think that many ancient cultures were actually a lot more advanced then we tend to think.

I think that ancient cultures knew more than we do about a variety of topics, like herbs, astrology, and procreation.

Apologies again for not being able to contribute more to this thread... I am still working but will take a second to interject a little more.

These writings can only be translated by a few people and most of what I have heard were from Zechariah Sitchin.

These are from the Seven Tablets Of Creation.

They are Sumerian texts which predate the Genesis writings of Moses but the 2 writings are very similar in many ways.

They tell why Uranus is on its side.

They tell how earth came to be and where we got our moon.

They tell where the asteroid belt came from.

And they call earth the 7th planet... not the 3rd as we do. That is because they count from the outside of our galaxy towards the sun rather than from the sun out as we do.

They tell of another planet which is on a 3600 year elliptical orbit.

It is all very interesting. I don't have to receive something as gospel to find it interesting but I am intrigued that their writings so correctly described things that we have only had the technology to verify in the last few decades.

Indeed.

There are places built of megalithic stones that we still do not have the technology to move today. These stones are so large that we don't even know their weight yet they were cut from the mountain in one piece, lifted up and carried miles and placed together so closely that you can't put a razor blade between them.

And now, some 6000 years later, we do not have the ability to move them a few inches.

The Chinese used to be able to strike their arms with swords and never draw blood.

It doesn't work for bullets, but still, isn't that insane?!
