The cool thing about the U.S. is the people usually win... if you lose than a majority sill won... why fight it?

The sad thing is...the people won once before here in California and all it took was one liberal circuit judge to make a proposition invalid after passing.

We all knew this would come. What gets me is the DA of Los Angeles is filling...he is gonna put tax payer resources into this...where were mostly ear marked for prosecuting criminals. It should be the action of private citizens or law firms at their own costs to do this

Looks like it will go before the CA Supreme Court, who allowed the gay marriages before. Eventualy it will probably go before the U.S. Supreme Court.

The ACLU filed a lawsuit against it yesterday. And the drama continues in this endless saga of "As My Stomach Churns".

Can I ask a question about this?

Ok, good, cuz I'm going to. lol

Does it really matter if it's legal or not? It happens...we have to raise our children in the world we're in. We already have to teach them our values, or not. Does it matter what happens in someone else's home? How does pushing your values on other people help anyone? People will do what they're going to do regardless. It really doesn't seem any different to me than common law marriage. That's legal in some states. Has that impacted your or your family adversely?

I commend California's majority for voting right. It stuns that the Courts just overthrow the law and the will of the majority. The gays will not give up. Keep coming back again and again and wear the people out. They are probably amazed at how far they have come.

15 years ago it was still seen as evil by most. Now its as if it were less than nothing to be a Sodomite.

Re: Vote no on Prop 8?

The California Atty. General Jerry Brown said tonight that it was the churches' fault that Proposition 8 failed. He included in that all churches and synagogues, including Catholic, Mormons, Christians, Jews, etc. He went on to say that now the churches had to be silenced!! That's scary, as that's what has happened in Canada and Sweden, right? You cannot speak out against homosexuality.

Does that also mean that they cannot refuse to do homosexual weddings in their churches?
