Van der Sloot interview

Is anyone watching the Fox News interview of Joran Van der Sloot? I must have missed something. What has happened to lead him to this type of confession?

He confessed?

I'm kind of watching it and MNF, but he did come out and claim that he was in the business of selling girls (I know he was recently caught on tape trying to do that). He claims that he sold Holloway for $10,000. I'm not sure that I believe that, but I am curious as to why he would suddenly come out and confess anything. He says that his lawyer and his father have been aware of this for some time, and that he lured her to the beach to ride on a boat. In actuality he says the people he dealt with took her on the boat while she was probably too drunk to resist and that she was not alarmed until it was too late.

I think he is lying...He is saying that he sold her "for a few hundred short of 10,000.00"....(He was supposed to get $10,000.00 - but the guy shorted him a few hundred.")...He said that Natalie just got into a boat with the man (without protesting or crying out) who was to take her into slavery. I think that's what I heard.

He said some police officers were paid off for not telling what they knew. He said his Father paid them $50,000 and that she was taken to Venezuela...He may have said "probably taken to Venezuela."

This is reminiscent of O.J.

Sad.

But why come out and say anything at this point? That is what was puzzling to me. I know that he is actively involved in trying to sell girls, but what would prompt a confession about this case at this point?

My first reaction:

I think he feels he has to admit to something - even if the something is just another lie.

NOW he says the first person he told about selling her to the man and her possibly being taken to Venezuela was "a teacher"...Then he he says he told his lawyer. Also, later he told his dad.

Greta said she went to VanderSloot's lawyer and his dad to corroborate the story and they refuse to answer. To be continued tomorrow night "On the Record" with Greta. He would not divulge the teacher's name.

I thought that reports were that she was too drunk and/or drugged to struggle with anyone.

This could explain why they never found a body. So it's possible she's still alive?

Re: Van der Sloot interview

He said the guy he sold her to sent him more money after the second time he was arrested - that he sent the money out of the blue. He said that it was "maybe to keep him quiet"...He said he wired him another $10,000.00 in Holland. Vandersloot says he gave him his email address on a piece of paper a while back and the man emailed him.

Vandersloot said the guy emailed him asking himt if he was ok and that he picked up the money at Western Union. HE says he does not speak to his parents. He says it was his decision to break off a relationship with them. However, he does say that he has a relation with the Tupac brothers. He said Dupac offered him a million dollars as long as he does not share anything about them. He says he has a copy that says they will give him a million dollars if they win the lawsuit.

Another update is due after the commercial that Greta says will completely change our mind about how we view this interview....Good grief.

This is the most ridiculous story I have ever heard.

Latest:

Now Greta says that Vandersloot says that he lied about having sold her to the man who most likely took her into slavery.

There is no way to ever know if he is telling the truth. I can think of some words to describe him but I will refrain.
