Ummmm.......I'm guessing Keith won't change his mind. These kinds of things happen periodically in third world countries, unfortunately. It did keep us out of the Philippines last year though; I'm glad we met in Hong Kong instead. But all the violence couldn't keep me from Kenya. I love it too much to miss that trip!

There are plenty of people there that can preach the gospel Sherri.

Maybe they need to come HERE and preach the gospel to Americans!

Well, they probably do need to preach over here, but they can't afford to come. Besides we found out the hard way when you bring Africans over here, they find it very hard to go home again. They finally see how blessed Americans are and they don't understand why they live the way they do. We try NOT to bring them to the U.S. for that very reason. We did it once, and wished we hadn't.


So..........as long as I'm able, I'll continue to go there.:christmoose

Funny thing is I was attempting to go to Mumbai in May, 2009. Instead will go somewhere North. India is sometimes unstable, but I look at like this, if its my time to go, why not go doing the work of the Lord in a very much needed place.

Very good thoughts, Darryl Rash told me some funny stories about some of our ministers going overseas and how in attempts to be helpful with material goods, it led some of the ministers becoming, should I say less than what God wants for them.

So true Sherri!
We have had numerous people who lived for God in the Philippines & then when they came here, the "Greed" bug infected them & God got put on the back burner & they chased after money, & toys!

They did this even if they had to work 3 jobs & work 7 days a week!

Sad!
