Man's Skirt in NY 5th Ave. Window
While we were strolling down Fifth Avenue in NY this week, there was a window display for a men's store and it had a mannequin with a knee length skirt on. It was kind of a kilt look, but was definitely a skirt-suit. Very strange. I know there was a thread earlier with some weird pictures, but this is the first time I had seen it in a window of a really expensive men's store. Everything else was rather conservative. I don't even remember which store it was, but it kind of shocked me.

Well, Sherri, this is what you wanted. You should be happy. A world with no standards. If this fashion becomes mainstream you would have to let your praise singers (men) wear this outfit since Jesus only looks at the heart not what you wear - remember???

I dont think it would be sin for a man to wear a skirt or kilt but I would not enjoy wearing one, I'll just keep my pants. It would feel quite ackward to sit across from a man in a buisiness meeting or an interview wearing a skirt! Perhaps I should start shaving my legs, Oh wait, I forgot, I aint wearing no skirt!

I don't think this man-skirt thing is anything to be very concerned about. I see it as a passing fancy. Kind of like the dresses made out of paper back in the '70's. I don't think men in general will latch onto the idea. At least none of the men who I know will be willing to every wear one. That much I can guarantee.

I wouldn't brush it off so fast. You should hear what the youth are doing in public schools nowadays. We have some members who teach at some of the local high schools ... it's BAD. |

Hmm, I do see the comfort of it. The ..................umm................."freedom"
Think thats why most men find sweats more comfortable than slacks or jeans.. Hmmm, men wearing skirts ...... Of course they have to be below the knee when sitting. |

Now a kilt is a different story. That's a cultural thing. It's been going on for generations. But even those men don't wear them all the time, right? And men dressing as women has also been going on for a long time. Just like homosexuality has been going on for a long time. And cheating on your spouse has been going on for a long time. Doesn't make it right. But I think that there are a smaller percentage of men who dress in women's clothes than there are men who cheat on their wives, or men who like other men. Am I right? |
