Theres More To Being "Apostolic" Than Acts 2:38

Do you agree or disagree with this statement? If there is more, what do you believe the "MORE" is?

I absolutely believe there is more to being Apostolic than obeying Acts 2:38.

Just read what the Apostles did in the book of Acts. They evangelized the entire continent of Asia within a space of 2 1/2 years, they continued in fellowship, they converted entire churches along with the priests of those churches, and much much more.

Are we doing that in our generation?

Matt, the question is too general. I would make a case that wearing robes is "Apostolic".

However it is not desirable today.

If we want to talk about Apostolic lifestyle we should look into their master teacher and the instruction He gave on the Mount.

Lol, which is hilarious, because I have a pastor friend in the UPC that used to wear a robe when he preached, and he was criticized like crazy.

Well, yes, Bro. Matt, there is a wee bit more to being Apostolic than Acts 2:38. That wee bit more is... oh, I don't know... the ENTIRE Bible maybe.

But then, what do I know? I'm less concerned about being considered an "Apostolic" than I am in being a Christian.

What is the "MORE"? I'm reminded of some people who said, "Lord, everMORE give us this bread." Jhn 6:34. Thats what I'm concerned with.... the Bread of Life.

26 to go.

So I hear Scotty saying that Acts 2:38 is the crux of what would place one into the ranks of being an Apostolic, and I hear the rest of you saying that there is far more that one must do in order to be considered an apostolic.

Am I right so far??
