Tools Of God

God punishes evil doers. He is merciful, kind and longsuffering, but ultimately, unrepentant evil doers are punished. Some see there punishment now, some see it later.

Are there any scriptural examples of God punishing the one He used as a tool to bring His ordained punishment?
