I am a HUGE Hillsongs fan!

But before Hillsongs, Calvin Bridges and James Cleveland were my favorites.

I can still listen to James Cleveland's music all day.

Andre Crouch, David & The Giants & The New Kingdom Heirs when I am feeling nostalgic.

tobyMac, Hillsongs United, Switchfoot, Audio Adrenaline, Phil Wickham.

Old school faves,

Michael English, Gaither Vocal Band, and as someone already mentioned, you really can't beat the old Andre Crouch stuff.

I loved his music and had a chance to meet him Indianapolis back in 1975.

My dad was preaching at the Church that NA Urshan pastored.

My dad took me accross town.

He went to get some items of his printed or copied... He had some kind of business which I can't fully remember...

When we went into the church their were folks practicing songs.

A small maybe 15 member choir and this very large figure of a man...

I sat on the front row of this African American church.

The music stopped and over walked this man who asked me how I was doing.

I was very shy and waited until my dad came back into the church....

The man came over and talked to my dad and the person from the office.

He was introduced as Rev James Cleveland...

My dad told me remember this moment..

You just met a giant of gospel music...

My father loved the african american churches and had friends accross the organizations....

2 of my favorites are Keith Getty and the New Irish hymn series. Both the lyrics and music are extremely well done. Also, Sovereign Grace Music has some wonderul stuff!

WOW!!!

I envy your experience as I sit here in traffic on 210 S. I wish I had some of my James Cleveland cd's to listen to right now.

He never produced a meaningless song.

Was the church you were in an Apostolic one?
