Pat and I are now great grandparents!

Lindsey (our oldest grand daughter) has had her baby!

Conner Dale Bailes was born today (December 19, 2008) at 3:45 p.m.

He is 20 and 3/4 inches long and he weighs 7 pounds and 10 ounces.

Lindsey is doing fine. So is Bryce

We received this picture from Lindsey on my cell phone this afternoon.

Congratulations Sam! There are many ways to become "great" and you have experienced one of the best. [ I'm not "great" yet :) ] For you this is not an ordinary Christmas gift, it's a "Great" Christmas gift!

Congratulations, by the way Sam, I think you are a real example of a Christian. You and Sis. Alvear are real role models of Christ likeness that I hope to imitate as I walk with the Master.

Well, we have 5 children, 13 grandchildren, and 1 great grandchild.

4 of the 5 children will be here for Christmas Eve.
10 of the 13 grandchildren will be here (if Lindsey gets down here from Lebanon, OH).

This little house will be crowded and it will be chaotic.

We do our Christmas here Christmas Eve and the kids do theirs with their families on Christmas Day.
