If I remember well You were having questions about tithing, here is an interesting read about tithing.

I did post in your topic, but there were too many post that I think mine got ignored :))

I'm not looking for attention though! hahaha! I just find it very very interesting.

Even to those who are not gloryseeker, I encourage you to read.

But the old testament laws are still under effect as Jesus said it in the NT

Matthew 5:17-19 Do not think that I came to annul the Law or the Prophets; I did not come to annul, but to fulfill. Truly I say to you, Until the heaven and the earth pass away, in no way shall one iota or one point pass away from the Law until all comes to pass.

Therefore, whoever relaxes one of these commandments, the least, and shall teach men so, he shall be called least in the kingdom of Heaven. But whoever does and teaches them, this one shall be called great in the kingdom of Heaven.

Sure you want to go that route? Like should we then be following all the law on tithes?

a ten percent of our salary? yup :)

Isaiah 58:6 - 8
Is not this the fast that I (God) have chosen? (God chose to do without His wealth - tithe) to loose the bands of wickedness, to undo the heavy burdens, and to let the oppressed go free, and that ye break every yoke? Is it not to deal thy bread to the hungry (we are His hands, as a church and individuals), and that thou bring the poor that are cast out to thy house? when thou seest the naked, that thou cover him; and that thou hide not thyself from thine own flesh? Then shall thy light break forth as the morning, and thine health shall spring forth speedily: and thy righteousness shall go before thee; the glory of the Lord shall be thy rearward (protection - KJV).

Well, tithes never ever paid with money in OT always with goods, and yes they had money back then.

Do you believe we should above the following law????

22Thou shalt truly tithe all the increase of thy seed, that the field bringeth forth year by year.

23And thou shalt eat before the LORD thy God, in the place which he shall choose to place his name there, the tithe of thy corn, of thy wine, and of thine oil, and the firstlings of thy herds and of thy flocks; that thou mayest learn to fear the LORD thy God always.

24And if the way be too long for thee, so that thou art not able to carry it; or if the place be too far from thee, which the LORD thy God shall choose to set his name there, when the LORD thy God hath blessed thee

25Then shalt thou turn it into money, and bind up the money in thine hand, and shalt go unto the place which the LORD thy God shall choose:

26And thou shalt bestow that money for whatsoever thy soul lusteth after, for oxen, or for sheep, or for wine, or for strong drink, or for whatsoever thy soul desireth: and thou shalt eat there before the LORD thy God, and thou shalt rejoice, thou, and thine household,

Notice they took the tithes and ate before the lord after buying whatever their sould lusteth after? even strong drink??

Have you ever obeyed this?
