" 911 "
In my lifetime I have owned several dogs such as an Airedale, Chinese Pug, a Golden Retriever, a German Shepherd, a Cocker Spaniel, an English Bulldog, a Bassett, a Labrador, a Dachshund, a Collie, a Schnauzer and three of a mixed breed. Each one of the dogs have been lovable and loyal to me. I have loved them all in spite of their different dispositions. Beaudreaux was SPECIAL to me and we had him for about 18 years. He was a Chow & Airedale mix and very easy to train. He looked forward to my daily coffee run to Hardees in my ‘50 Studebaker and would actually blow the car horn if he felt that I stayed too long. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ On 11/22/2008 I posted the following in memory of ole Beaudreaux 'BEAUDREAUX' {02/12/1987 - 05/27/2005} He was an Apostolc Church Dog - When asked " Beaudreaux, Would you rather be Trinity or Dead" ? He Would Promptly Fall Over, Play Dead and not get up until You Said "In Jesus Name" . You could ask him to Run For Jesus and he would run in a circle, wide open, until you said AMEN - He was the first to actually get baptized in the new baptistery. We had just installed it and filled it with water someone let him in the Sanctuary. He came running thru the Sanctuary wide open as usual and thru the open door leading to te Baptistery, up the steps Straight Into The Baptistery Before Anyone Could Catch Him. - LOL, I Pulled Him Out Of The Water In Jesus Name. Ole Beaudreaux departed from this life on the evening of my Father-in-law's Funeral. Events During and After His Passing Brought Smiles And LaughterTo Me and My Wife That Night in the time of her Bereavement . I Miss Ole BEAUDREAUX Especially While Bending Over Retrieving the Newspaper {That was his job} Looking For My Shoes {he brought them to me} Trying to get my wife's attention {he would tug the hem of her skirt} Opening The Door Of The Car {he was always the first one in} Thanks For Thinking Of Beaudreaux Today Because HE WAS ONE OF THE BEST DOGS EVER ! ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ 12/22/2008 Our beloved Beaudreaux was just over the age of 18 when he left us for Doggie Heaven in May of '05 and we have now decided it was time for us to get another dog to take his place - BUT It Had slipped my mind Just How Lively A Puppy Could Be - ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ 12/31/2008 CALL 9 11 ---> OH YES ! REALLY, “ “ JEDIDIAH The VIII “ Hath Arrived ! {he was born on 09/11/2008 and he is an Elder in training ! It happened this past Sunday afternoon{12/28/08} when Terri delivered Jedidiah The VIII { Elder in training } to us and our life, as we were used to, has now been completely turned ‘Topsy Turvy’ ! ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ 12/31/2008 At 5:00 this morning he discovered how to get out of his bed crate and get on top of it, then jump on to the night stand and from there it was an easy leap thus landing on my head while I was asleep - After completely waking me, he then turned his attentions on Lavelle by attacking her hair as if it was alive and a large prey - It was hard to gently disengage his teeth from her hair and not laugh but "I Knew Better" {Some Things Are Best Just Being Left Alone} Oh Yes, " JEDIDIAH The VIII " Is A Full Blooded 'WELSH TERRIER' - { The offspring of "TUFFY TOO" & "MATILDA" } Was Born "9 11 2008" HAVE A BLESSED AND HAPPY NEW YEAR {we hope to survive} The Hollands Joe & Lavelle |

Your new dog is gorgeous!
So is he Beaudeaux's replacement? By the sounds of it Jedi, has a mighty big shoes to fill, I don't think I have met a person, let alone a dog do all the things that first dog did! I must say Bishop I always like reading your stuff! You always tell a good story!:thumbsup |
Re: " call 911 please "
Congratulations on the new dog. Can't wait to hear what Jedidiah is capable of once you start him in training.

Re: " call 911 please "
Hey Bishop,
Glad to see you posting ... we've missed you ... I enjoy your humor, candor and liveliness. Sorry about the loss of your 3 steppin' dog ... I have no doubt he was one of the best dogs ever!!! If there is a Doggy Heaven I'm sure he's in the Oneness Apostolic wing ... parallel to the Baptist and AOG corridors. Also, my sentiments concerning the loss of your FIL. It was not until Christmas Eve that I've had a puppy in my own life ... and already gettin' attached to her. (Don't tell Lady Cass, though). I gave Princess (aka Pepperoni) to Cass for Christmas. It was part of my negotiating Cass' release to "poopy" Houston, Texas from sunny Irvine, California. I can't imagine what it's like to have a dog for almost 18 years and then losing it. I'm sure there is even a time of real heart-felt grief. The Welsh Terrier is cute!!! Much happiness and patience. Maybe your young Padawan might find our little mini Dachshund a looker ...???? Every Jedi needs a Princess. But would he date a Charismatic? http://photos-h.ak.fbcdn.net/photos-...39503_4796.jpg http://photos-e.ak.fbcdn.net/photos-...39500_3909.jpg http://photos-b.ak.fbcdn.net/photos-...39505_5410.jpg May the Force (and a Pooper Scooper) be with us all. Happy New Year. |
