Why I have no respect for the protesters

http://www.foxnews.com/story/0,2933,479100,00.html

The above link goes to an article of those protesters protesting Israel. I have no respect for them because they are always one sided. Never do they denounce Palestinians lobbing rockets and morters into Israel. Never do they call for an end to Hamas aggression. Peace to them is Israel being attacked and doing nothing about it.

Israel was not attacking the Palestinians when the rockets were fired and the morter shells came and they Hamas were caught trying to plant a bomb near a border crossing

I'd just like to point out that a handful of Israelis have died while hundreds of Gazans have died. This is not proportionate by any stretch of the imagination.

I realize it's an extremely unpopular thing to do here in America, to express something contrary to the almost universally held belief that we have to support Israel no matter what. But I'm suggesting that maybe people should go read Ha'aretz (Israeli newspaper, available in English) for a few days, and you might get a slightly different perspective.

I'm NOT NOT NOT NOT NOT saying that Hamas is guilt-free. NOT. I am just saying that we are not talking about the hundreds of dead at the hands of the Israelis and how it is profoundly disproportionate to the number dead due to Hamas rocket attacks. Both sides should back off. And the Arab governments ought to be leaning all over Hamas to get them to STOP IT.

But the reason I get onto Israel is because we (USA) give Israel money, we help prop up their economy and, since money's fungible, our tax dollars are going into helicopter gunships and shelling of people whose only crime is that they live in Gaza. They don't have any control over Hamas' sending rockets in to Sderot. But they're made to pay under the long-standing Israeli policy of collective punishment.

Go ahead, smack me around, but someone had to say it.

So, how would you suggest they(Isreal) get cowards(terrorists) to quit hiding behind the innocent?

I fully support Israel's actions and I feel they have the right to defend themselves.

However, having known some folks who are Palestinian I just wanted to mention their perspective. They look at it like Israel doesn't even belong there. They see it like this, the Romans destroyed the state of Israel in the first century and the Jews were scattered throughout Europe and the rest of the world. The Palestinians then had generations of family owning land and and living on that land. Then in 1948 the UN takes that land and gives it to Israel. From there Israel makes advances in Golan Heights, Gaza Strip, and the West Bank. They see Israel has being intruders. It would be like the UN taking the heartland of the United States and giving it back to the the Native American Indians, ordering all American families to give up their homes and businesses and give them to Native Americans.

Now, I don't entirely believe what they believe, I'm just saying that I understand their perspective.

In my personal opinion, the land belongs to Israel according to divine covenant.

You should remind your Palestinian friends that Jews still lived there even after a majority were scattered.

I hate that anyone has to die. But, our job is to protect Israel. I am sorry that protecting Israel means others will die. I personally (just me) feel and respect your feelings as well.. but I feel our job as Christians are to protect Israel, and that is what I will do. What anyone else does is between them and God. The Palestinians blow up their own sanctuaries, they have not love for one another and can't tell you the hatred they have for us. I do love them, but God's work comes first. That part of the world has been fighting for thousands of years and will.. it is in Genesis that they will. The best we can do is what God asks us. But, I do appreciate you and your thoughts and feelings and want peace for all, we all do. My suggestion to all is to ask God to bring that peace instead of fighting amongst ourselves. Prayer works much more than arguing on the net.. God Bless you all :)

Okay.

When was the last time an Israeli "hard target" was targeted by Palestinians? 1972? All other attacks - and there have been literally 10,000's of them - have been against Israeli civilians. Purposefully targeted at unarmed civilians. Yet when Israel shoots back and accidently hits one of Hamas's human shields Israel's critic's cry "foul!" Did you know that the Hamas military command and control center is in a bunker located directly beneath the largest hospital in Gaza? Pathetic.

Also, Israeli "gunships" are not targeting the "innocents" that you bemoan. They are targeting people in the act of using weapons. It is the practice of Hamas and other Arab fighters to gather their children around them as they shoot. In the West we think of this as the lowest form of cowardice. By justifying Hamas's tactics even a little bit - you are encouraging them to continue the slaughter of their own children. 2 Chronicles 33:6.

And then there's the fraudulant "journalism" to consider. Remember Mohammed al Dura? Remember the Hezbollah fight and all of the fake "incidents" of "Israeli terror?" The Intl Red Cross has endangered their own personnel by participating one horrible act of deception. Reuters did something similar with one of their trucks.

And now CNN does a similiar hoax. Notice the way that the doctor is doing the "CPR." Notice how radical Norweigian Marxist Mads Gilbert (the "doctor") actually worked with Hezbollah before moving into the Gaza strip. Notice also that Paul Martin, the man who wrote CNN's "defense" of the video owns several websites in the UK support radical Islamists.

You're being manipulated, Sib. And you're being manipulated by some of the most blood thirsty thugs on the planet.

With all due respect my friend, from all that I have been able to find there is no such thing as a Palestinian. This is one of the biggest hoaxes every perpetrated against the Jews and the public at large ever done. "Palestinians" are really a bunch of "outcasts" from all of the surrounding Arab nations who have settled in this area demanding representation. Think about it there has never been a nation called Palestine. Palestine is a geographic area not a nation.

Just another perspective
