"Somebody Help George!!" - Strange Dream
 

I had a very thought-provoking and disturbing dream early this morning that woke me up. Usually my dreams make no sense, but this one was so vivid and real that I really felt like it was from the Lord.

I dreamed that I was driving in a stream of traffic and was at an intersection when three elderly people started across the street. All of a sudden a pack of dogs came after them. The dogs all ran past except for one, who lunged at one man, right at his abdomen. For some reason, I knew the man's name was George, but I didn't know him. I jumped out of the car and started screaming for help for George, but I couldn't get close to him because of the dogs. Everyone else just kept driving and acting like nothing was happening.

Finally the dog ran away, but George was left with a huge bloody gaping hole (about a foot in diameter) where his intestines should have been. He was still standing, but his eyes and mouth were open in shock. I knew he was going to die soon.

I woke up in a panic because no one was helping George. I felt like the Lord spoke to me that sometimes we attack each other and rip each other's guts out and everyone just stands by and watches it happen, not realizing how deadly it can be. But the person attacked is left with a huge gaping hole, and sometimes dies. It tore me up, because I've seen it happen too often with Christians, and even on this forum. I even wondered if our George on here had been attacked, and I had missed it.

Please forgive me if I've ever been a part of something so vicious. I don't ever want to see God's children destroyed.

There, I got that off my chest. Now maybe I can get some relief!!!

Wow......that would be scary to dream.

I think it's good words of advice for us not to attack one another and maybe cut back on eating too late before going to bed.

LOL!! For once, I actually didn't have a bedtime snack. That's why I thought it MUST be from the Lord.

Wow. I had a dream of that intense nature before. It helped me look at my real life situation with more appreciation...

You are so right Sherri, we must not attack or brothers and sisters. I know that must have been so scary.

Sometimes dreams are sent to get our attention. It sounds as though this one was. Pray for all the Georges I know....I, too, had a strange dream early this morning. I told it to my husband on the way to church. I don't care to repeat it here. Yes, mine was vivid, too. However, there are so many parts I can't remember. There were verses from the Bible that were being flashed on a wall, but I can't remember what they were.

Sherri I don't know if your dream is about 'our' George or not, but I think your application is dead on.

People do get attacked and others just walk by without any regard for what is happening.

What is interesting is the attack was portrayed as if by done by vicious dogs!

That is scary!
