Can someone help me, please?
 

I feel so absolutely stupid asking this. I have not changed my avatar in forever. Most of you already know that :) So I have a new pic I think I want to use for a while.

I put it on Photobucket. And I went down to the IMG line at the bottom and copied that url. Then I went to USER CP, followed thru till I got to the Change Avatar area and pasted that url in. And it keeps saying Invalid File.

What am I doing wrong??????

You can just choose the file directly from your computer by browsing your files. If it's too big it won't change it.

Sis Margie, I've not been able to use Photobucket for my avatar. I upload from my computer. I've tried PB several times and was not succesful.
I am able to use PB for my signature though.

I use the resize at PB to edit my photos then save a copy. Then I save that copy to my computer pictures. It works for me as I never edit my pic well on my computer it takes me forever and PB is easier for me. ;)

As soon as I realized that all I had to do was resize the picture, I just went back to Paint Shop Pro and did it. I don't know why I didn't get that before. Do you ever have those "duh!" moments? Geesh!
