I'm not with the ICOF. Someone I know recently went with them and wanted to know if I would be interested. I don't know a whole lot about them and don't know if any ministers or churches in this area (SW Ohio) are with them.

In 1959 I went to Charleston, WV to a convention of The Church of Jesus Christ. Bishop Mark Lawson was Presiding Bishop. While there I met someone I had not seen for several months and had last seen him in Michigan. He was pastoring a church is Eskdale, WV somewhere outside of Charleston. I spent a couple of days with him and preached for him at his midweek service. I joined the Church of Jesus Christ while I was there. Shortly after returning to Cincinnati I thought it best to return the license and fellowship card because I was attending a UPC church in Cincinnati at the time.

Later I was licensed for a couple of years with a group called The Church of Jesus Christ Pentecostal Faith. Bishop G.R. Brock was the Presiding Bishop. A couple of years later we started attending a ALJC church and I let my license drop with the Church of Jesus Christ.

Later because I was serving as sectional youth leader I was required to be licensed with the ALJC. When I turned 40 I resigned as youth leader and let the ALJC license expire.

I am currently ordained with The Churches of Jesus Christ International. The Chairman or Presiding Bishop is Boyd Lawson. He is the son of the late Mark Lawson. There are no churches or ministers in that organization that I know of near me. I keep my fellowship card up to date because it gives me legal status with the state of Ohio to perform weddings (I've never done one) and to access hospitals (I've only had to use my clergy card a couple of times for that.)

I'm just interested in more information on the ICOF and wondered if anyone here has had experience with them.

They are not Oneness Pentecostals. I see Peter Wagner and Rick Joyner on their list. Beware.

So are you saying that Peter Wagner and Rick Joyner are Oneness?

I doubt Peter Wagner and Rick Joiner belong to ICOF.

They're both listed on the ICOF website as "Modern Apostles." Don't know what it takes to "belong" or if the group is loosely associated to the extent that some people may simply find themselves "belonging" because of a friendship or other association with a member.

Off topic rant: I wish they'd change that video widget on every page of their web site. It's kind of annoying. http://www.apostolicfriendsforum.com...ons/icon10.gif
