Zechariah 14 Question?
What is Zechariah 14 dealing with ,and what is the entire chapter about ?
|
You'll probably get different opinions on this question.
Here's mine; It starts with the time of tribulation which is covered by Revelation chapters 6-19 It speaks of the Second Coming of Jesus to the earth with His saints like Revelation chapter 19 It speaks of the time of the kingdom, i.e. Jesus will sit on the throne of David and will rule on the earth from the city of Jerusalem During the reign of Jesus there will be a time of a world wide religion which will include a Temple in Jerusalem, animal sacrifices, and observance of old Jewish feasts |

The idea that there will be a temple and animal sacrifice is preposterous. He was sacrificed ONCE for ALL! There is and never will be salvation outside of the gospel of Jesus Christ, death, burial and resurrection. Jesus himself said that destroy the temple made with hands and in 3 days he would raise up a temple not made with hands. He is the temple today and forever and all worship is to be done in him. We enter the temple through baptism as we put on Christ when we are baptized into Christ. We are therefore in the temple worshiping. There is no animal sacrifice but we do sacrifice our will for his will. The Kingdom of God is present with us. His Kingdom is not of this world yet it is abiding in this world. He presently reigns in this kingdom. He told Nicodemus and all the rest of us how to enter into the Kingdom of God. Obey these scriptures and begin to live in the provision of the Lord! Now I am ducking for cover... dodging the lob bombs!:slaphappy :slaphappy |

No seriously I don't understand this chapter as well as I would like to.
Bro.PJ I appreciate your answer. |
I think much depends if we think the 1000 years is another dispensation or not. I certainly think it is but I stand to be corrected...

Zech 14:7-9
8 And it shall be in that day, that living waters shall go out from Jerusalem; half of them toward the former sea, and half of them toward the hinder sea: in summer and in winter shall it be. 9 And the LORD shall be king over all the earth: in that day shall there be one LORD, and his name one. KJV The New Jersulam is the church, and the day has come that living waters flow from the church to the lost world. Jesus said, out of your bellies will flow rivers of living water... the same living waters. Prase God, His name is one... and that one is Jesus. Jerry Moon |
