I need some Frontpage 2003 Help
Does anyone here have a good working knowledge of Frontpage.
On my pages I created a table that is 760 in width and centered on the page. I put all of my contenet within the table. However, when someone on a different size computer, or when I minimize my window, the text boxes do move with the tabel. However, the inserted pictures will move or shrink, Anyone know how I could fix this? |

Anyways, the inserted pictures should not shrink in size unless you are using relative values...like percentages instead of absolute values. However, they can still move Make the table row a fixed width and make the table data cell a fixed with , the same as the image and position it where you want it, left, right or center. Better is to use style sheets and fix it more absolute. BTW if the table is resizing with the browser window when you make the browser smaller or larger, then you might be using percentages for the table width size. Also, the best idea if using HTML strictly is to embed. Embed a table in a table. You will have more controll over flow |

My husband says: There may be a bit of a learning curve, but once you figure it out, you'll like it a lot better than Frontpage. Here are a couple: http://www.thesitewizard.com/getting...mweaver1.shtml http://www.haverford.edu/acc/docs/so...er/welcome.htm This guy has a lot of tutorial videos on youtube: http://www.youtube.com/user/tutvid My husband has a web design program he can send you, if you want to install it and try it out. It might be easier than Dreamweaver. He doesn't use it, but says that it looks easy to use. (He's telling me what to type--LOL) PM me your email addy if you're interested. |

And as I said before too, you can get some pretty neat "wizards" for it from webassist. One is siteassist that will build an entire site for you with correct HTML and CSS. All you need to do is put your own content in it. Same with another program from them CSS sculpter.
Both basically are template builders...you can change the color scheme. If you have a deep "Menu" or in other words have a lot of different pages it will build drop down menus for you. And since Dreamweaver is a WYSIWYG editor, once you have a template you don't have to mess with code necessarily |
