A Reason...
The life is empty of love and void of living. The eyes are empty spaces of documented failure and the brain is storing all of the files of the past. The pain is undeniable and the tears are always real. The footsteps are hollow echoes in the halls of shame and everywhere the eyes look there is the mirrored image of the same failures and defeats sickly smiling back.
The scars are massed on the heart and it is void of feeling because it can’t be touched. The soul is a dark chamber of secrets and the door is sealed shut with rusty nails beaten down by the hammer of life. “Who has a reason to love the unloved anymore?” is the question I am faced with when I look into the face of the damned and hear myself answer “I do” My reason for loving is not an impure thought or motive but the desire to see the light glisten in the eye. The spring of the step that knows that the path of hope is well lit. The reason I can love is because despair did not win my soul with deceit or the bitter taste of life. It was the sweetness of Grace and Mercy that dried my tears and pealed the layers of scars off my heart until His Blood flowed into my life and filled me with a reason. Just a thought... |

The Love of God is such a Powerful thing. Over and over through the years I have seen God's Love accomplish great things nothing else could have done. The young teenaged girl, pregnant out of wedlock, come and be shown the love of God through those long nine months. As she hears of God's love from the pulpit and sees it in action through the church, by the time she is due to deliver, she is broken, uncomfortable and scared, not know- ing what is ahead. She is going through a change in her heart, as her body has and continues to change. Older motherly, compassinate women, relate to this young soul as they remember the struggle from conception to deliverence. They offers a kind, soft, gentle, loving word to let the younger know they understand. The young girl smiles softly, realizing she's not the only one who has been down this road. Somehow she doesn't feel so alone anymore.:mama This girl used to come ever once in a while, along with her boyfriend, a seemingly nice guy who tries to listen to the preacher. He is hearing words he has never heard and it sounds uplifting. Words of hope. If only she would listen too and not distract him so much. Later they come more often with her parents, then we learned of her preg- nancy. Now they come almost weekly and we watch a transformation of this couple. The Word and the Love of God together are doing a work of grace. Later the ladies give her a baby shower, some even hand knitting beautiful blankets, etc with their loving hands. She has never felt SO loved.:heart Then this week she delivered a 8 lb.,12 oz. baby boy. A beautiful child who has no idea how God drew his mother and father to the house of God. Who doesn't know that Love did what nothing else could do.:heart The evening of the second day in the hospital, she called the pastor's wife, a mother of a young baby herself, and said hesitantly, 'Sister -----, thank you for my beautiful flowers. I can't believe he's mine. I can't believe I get to take him home and keep him. Sister -----, Sister -----, I love you!:heart Above all, keep fervent in your love for one another, because love covers a multitude of sins. 1 Peter 4:8 God knows how to draw them to Himself and sometimes it happens through what we might think as unlikely circumstances. What we might tend to think as a tragedy, might well be a blessing in disquise. Our reactions to the things that happen to people might well be the very thing GOD is using to bring about their salvation. :thumbsup JESUS knows how. HE shows His Love many times by humbling us first. Bringing us down to where He can get our attention and talk to us. Speaking the truth IN LOVE. Forget the harshness, and the demanding tone. Forget holding them over the fires.:smack Just LIFT HIM UP, and by all means, SHOW HIS LOVE!! :heart IF we do our part, HE will do HIS!:thumbsup Hugs, Falla39 |
Re: A Reason...
Thanks, Sis. Falla and RevRandy......Loving those who seem unlovable and helping them to find hope in Him. Isn't that what Jesus Christ wants us to do? For God so loved the world that He gave....That meant the Whole World. Even the unlovable. How can we do less?
Thanks...Now I can go out and take on the day! :thumbsup |
