Re: Lost gospels
It was neat but the only thing is none of it dated back to the original writers like the book of judas, book of thomas etc all they had were copies that dated about 200-300 years after. There was a book of mary magdaline but it was not original also it was neat and if the originals ever come up it will change the way we think for sure.. All of them was copies found around Egypt. I am sure it will come on again look on Discoverychannel.com and see. It is really interesting

Re: Lost gospels
You can check History Channel and National Geographic for information on DVDs of these documentaries. There are several different ones and all provide interesting information.
In my opinion you have to weed thru a world view that starts with Jesus was a real human who lived preached his message then was crucified and that was the real end of the real Jesus. There are quite of few of these “Lost Gospels” generally they are Gnostic and hold a view that doesn’t jive with what we call scripture. But there is quite a bit of interesting information in them and they give an indication of the variety that existed in the thought processes of Christianity in the early years. |
