A moving sale

I'm not sure how other folks here deal with moving. I'm not good at it. I get really stressed out.
Praying things all sell soon so I can get started doing the clean up.
Lots of things will just be given away or go in dump runs.
Thanks for any extra prayer y'all can send our way. ;)
Everything must go by May 30 !

Blessings
Kay

Sometimes an "accidental fire" is a good way to get rid of a lot of junk. Just make certain the "accident" occurs outside the primary structure or there will be a lot of uncomfortable questions coming from the press and local authorities.

We have boxes still packed from 5 or 6 moves and 25+ years ago. They're always ready for the next one. Saves us a lot of work!

I hate moving. Guess that's one reason I have moved only once in the past 21 years.

If you seriously don't want alot of your stuff or don't want to pack it and bring it, I'm very sure that there are some good organizations in your town that would LOVE to have it to give away to the needy. Especially in the times that we are living right now.

Our church does a FREE CLOTHING GIVE-AWAY twice a year. Maybe your church could take your unwanted things, set them up on tables, advertise a FREE GIVE-AWAY as an outreach to your community. If you can get people in the doors of your church for the first time, even if it's only for something like this, and then if they meet kind, friendly people, they will be much more likely to come back for a service sometimes.

It's just a thought :) I'm praying that your move goes smoothly and that you feel peace in the midst of it all, my friend.

IF you have enough stuff hire an auctioneer and do a sale.

I have done some of this - mostly for nonprofit groups.

Thanks for all the ideas ( except for Pels..lol) fire is one of the GREATEST fears here as the village was burned to the ground in 1945.
Margie there isn't any of those programs here in the village. We will donate what we don't take with us to the community. I usually give some things to folks anyway. It really is to expensive to rent a u-haul and take on the ferry and drive. Will probably mail some things and then pack in the vehicles the rest.
The village is very small only 579 residents mostly Tlingit Native Alaskans.
Thanks all for your prayers.

I would just like to personally verify that she does indeed need an intervention. :)
