God Breaks Through Denominationalism

Recently, I was talking to a young minister who has been asked to go and preach some meetings in the Philippines. He shared that there were some safety concerns (and some others) and he had fasted and prayed wondering if he should go. At the end of his fast, he was listening to David Jeremiah on the radio. During the message God spoke to him and it was clear he should go and take the invitation - he had no doubt after that time.

I rejoice that my friend found the answer he sought and pray he is kept safe and reaches many with the message of Jesus.

Furthermore I rejoice that God is leading us beyond our denominations, and speaking through those in the body that have been in some ways divided from us.

Of course we already knew God was like this... but it is refreshing to see his people accepting it as well.

Praise the Lord!

I listen to Dr David Jeremiah. Really enjoyed his recent long series on Daniel.

I rejoice in your post Stephen. We are trying more and more in our community to involve ourselves with the rest of the religeoues community.

It is easier said than done though. For years some of us have been so callus to the rest of Christinaity, even to the point of preaching they are lost and have no experience with God, but we are finding that they are becoming more excepting of us here.

Glad to know that God speak to people other than myself through people outside the oneness umbrella. He spoke to me through Rod Parsely one time. It was very much a Rhema word.

If God can use a donkey to speak to a prophet, then He certainly can people of much higher calibre than that to speak to me....and He has on more than one occasion. God is not a respecter of persons or who He will choose to use for His purposes. :D

Yep. This I understand too. But of course we aren't talking donkeys, unbelievers or cult leaders... rather, what makes this especially refreshing and overdue is the fact that folks like David Jerimiah love Jesus and preach the message of the cross.

:thumbsup. Exactly!, and far too often in our oneness movement we get hung up thinking that we are the only ones with "ALL" truth. (IMO) It is refreshing to see God cross denominational lines and use someone "outside" ones own denomination, for confirmation of what God has already spoke to them.

So, it's God that's doing this? Wow. That's pretty cool. I wonder how many walls He will break down, ultimately. Some look really sturdy, to me. Jericho was nothin'! ;)

There are a lot of denoms that call themselves Christian that, well, let's just say they don't really "love truth", know what I mean? What can God do about the Mormons? How about those Unitarian Universalists? They can't figure out what to believe, so they just believe it all! (And they may not even see the wall surrounding them! :lol) And, my oh my, those gay-affirming churches, well, what can you do? Er, I mean what can God do? :winkgrin

I don't think anyone has said god is doing anything new, rather I said, "we already knew God was like this... but it is refreshing to see his people accepting it as well."

BTW those who deny Jesus is God, or try to teach many paths to heaven - they are another story altogether.
