I read a news article a few days ago about this same thing, however it was in Nigeria.

They were referred to as "Nigeria's witch children". Horrible. This seems to be a common thing in several countries.

Anyone who relies on the Word of God as a foundation and filter for stupidity. Jesus never harmed anyone in order to cast a devil. He just spoke to evil, and it departed.

I've always been disgusted by people who wrestle demons to the floor (meaning people with demons), and went through other contortions in their attempts to free the person. (Who may actually need deliverance, btw)

Jesus said that these things come by prayer and fasting. (When the disciples couldn't cast out a devil.) If you can't cast a devil out by simply speaking to it in Jesus' name, it seems that some personal sacrifice is in order.

And I make jokes, but honestly remember these days and cannot believe that people are still suckered into it.
