Has anyone seen this special on NATGEO? (The National Geographic Channel)
I was amazed at the glassy-eyed followers of this clown, especially the two women he co-opted from their husbands who looked like they were perpetually high.

There are more blind people than we know most likely....

It's just that many of them blindly follow someone who won't lead them to kill themselves or cheat on their spouses with him.

People naturally desire security and stability. These cult leaders provide that. Or at least seem too.

Watching this show, it is impossible not to compare it to others I have known growing up. Those who have constant "revelations" as to what God is instructing them to do -have US to do.

It was deemed likely that THIS cult would end in a mass suicide since Michael's prophesy of the world ending did not come to pass. It hasn't happened yet, but we WAS put on trial for child molestation. His biggest method of control was sleeping with the wives and young girls of "his flock".
