Prayer For My Nephew
 

My nephew got in a fight at school over some guy making fun of his girlfriend.

Long story short... this is the type of thing you used to get D-hall or possibly suspension for... not these days... you have to go to court.

He is in jail now awaiting a late June trial date.

Totally ridiculous. This is very hard on him and the family.

Your prayers for strength and favor as well as prayers that this would, in the end, speak to him in a positive manner would be greatly appreciated.

One of my biggest complaints is that they don't let boys act like boys. I think it may have been Eldridge that talked about how they want to make women out of boys today but fail to realize they may need a man to protect them someday.

Yes sir... in many schools today kids will get criminal charges if they act up. Police stay on campus.

The fight was stupid. The guy made fun of his girlfriend and he started fighting. That was stupid and uncalled for. But the response to a simple school yard fight has been over the top by my wildest imaginations.

These days people can face jail time for doing stupid pranks like throwing a cat in the river etc. Nobody needs to throw a cat in a river... nobody needs to do any of the pranks against animals that boys have done for centuries... but people... they don't need to go to jail. Come on.

Our jails are too full now we don't need to jail boys for being boys.

Great LORD GOD,

You see this nephew and perhaps in the long run it could have a positive
effect on him. But, LORD, we pray that this will not go any further than is
necessary to help him for the future. Let it be resolved as quickly as possi-
ble. in Jesus Name.

LORD. we raised three fine sons, with YOUR HELP, and we have 15 fine
grandsons that we are also trusting YOUR HELP with. We are totally con-
fident that YOU will help them to be all they can be for Your service.

And Dear LORD we ask You to began a good work in this young nephew'a
heart. Draw him by your Spirit to the one/ones who can help and encourage
him spiritually, in Jesus Name! He has an uncle that can help him if he is
willing to listen and be teachable! Thank You, GREAT LORD ALMIGHTY, for
what YOU WILL DO on this young nephew's behalf, in Jesus Name!
