Sarah Palin announces she will resign
 

at the end of July as Governor of Alaska.

Not completing her first term as Gov. can't help any future political aspirations. There had been a lot of speculation that she wouldn't seek re-election in 2010, but it's way to early to see this as a chance for her to begin to run for President in 2012. This is plain odd.

Do we have another story about to unfold here?

She said something like 'she can be more effective outside of government than within it'

or she may be going home to keep a better eye on her children - stay at home moms are people too.

BUT MAYBE she is getting her own talkshow on radio or tv.

Or shes in a scandal.

I just watched her annoucement and it was very weird.

She rambled on about not wanting to be a lame duck, wasting the tax payer's money as a lame duck, not doing politics as usual, going on wasteful trade missions like other governors and wanting to do what was right for the people.

I have no clue why she felt like she couldn't successfully end her term as Governor that the people elected her to, but she assured everyone it was the right thing to do for Alaska.

All of her interviews and statements during the election, made me question her, but the announcement today and the way she delivered it makes me think her career in politics may be over.

The McCain aides got this one completely right. She is WEIRD!

Yeah, I saw this. This strikes me as a bit strange and unexpected. I do wonder if there is a back story that will come out.

Yeah it's almost as if she thinks finishing out her term as Gov. was nothing but a waste of tax payer money and time. She pretty much doesn't see the point in completing her obligation to the citizens of Alaska, because all lame duck Gov.'s do is waste money, go on trade missions, and bang there head against the wall.

Even during the campaign she struck me as a considerably odd person during interviews, especially the one's with Charles Gibson and Kate Couric. Her tone is really odd, her facial expressions are distracting and the places she decides to emphasize words is strange.

I can't think of another public speaker to compare her too and I'm not saying that in a good way. :ursofunny
