Hey Sister Wenona what happened to you? You got married and deserted us.
Come back and share some things.

She's been here. She posted off and on under a new user name. I forget now what it is.

I read a few posts from her but she must be super busy...Williams baby. You gotta love it!!!

Williamsbaby...you are missed! I will have to add though, that I fear those of us moving on and getting married because it seems we remake our identity to conform to his identity [females]. I am not sure this is a healthy thing...I know it never has been for me.

The thing I fear the most is that I will no longer have my own identity and that it will be dependent on someone else. I just found myself and I don't want to lose me again...

Blessings, Rhoni

Amen Sister Rhoni,
Strong personalities can swallow us up.When we first got married our pastor told this to my husband. He told him to let me be me and he has.Its been a great twenty years.I have been able to develop into something different than just a role.Wife, mother, girlfriend are just titles.I am so glad I have a name.lol..:)

Trouvere,

Yes, I remember the first time after approx. 15 years that I actually heard my name "Rhonda", I had always been the kid's mother, the Pastor's wife, and it was refreshing to know I was still in there. As strong a person as I am thought to be...I have a tendency to wrap myself, physically, emotionally, and mentally, all around the man of my life and lose myself. I don't want to ever do that again. I want him to love me for who I am and not 'expect' me to be who he thinks I should be. Does this make sense? I think a strong, secure man, can do this and not be less of a man or think me less of a woman. Or am I dreaming?

Blessings, Rhoni
