Quotes To Remember From Thomas Jefferson

Wouldn't it be great if we had one like Thomas Jefferson in the White House?

When we get piled upon one another in large cities, as in Europe,
we shall become as corrupt as Europe .
Thomas Jefferson

The democracy will cease to exist when you take away from those
who are willing to work and give to those who would not.
Thomas Jefferson

It is incumbent on every generation to pay its own debts as it goes.
A principle which if acted on would save one-half the wars of the world.
Thomas Jefferson

I predict future happiness for Americans if they can prevent the
government from wasting the labors of the people under the pretense of taking care of them.
Thomas Jefferson

My reading of history convinces me that most bad government results from too much government.
Thomas Jefferson

No free man shall ever be debarred the use of arms.
Thomas Jefferson

The strongest reason for the people to retain the right to keep and bear arms is, as a last resort, to protect themselves against tyranny in government.
Thomas Jefferson

The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.
Thomas Jefferson

To compel a man to subsidize with his taxes the propagation of ideas which he disbelieves and abhors is sinful and tyrannical.
Thomas Jefferson

Thomas Jefferson said in 1802:
'I believe that banking institutions are more dangerous to our liberties than standing armies. If the American people ever allow private banks to control the issue of their currency, first by inflation, then by deflation, the banks and corporations that will grow up around the banks will deprive the people of all property until their children wake-up homeless on the continent their fathers conquered...'

The president we have and many if not most of the congress we have are most definately not of this man's ilk.
If Thomas Jeferrson is one of the great minds that shaped this nation we call America, what we have now is not American.
It is everything they warned us abouot. They were great, studied and educated men that God placed in that time to create this great republic for the good of us in this nation, for the good of all mankind and more importantly, to haev a launch pad to further his Gospel.
Aren't you glad they did not know of the current "end time" teachings that are so popular today back then? Had this been taught then, they would have figured the troubles they were enduring were but "signs if the times". Makes you wonder about what will history will say looking back at us in 233 years from now.

Obama and his best female friend

Quote:

The Obama girlfriend rumors first surfaced from Hillary Clinton’s camp two weeks before the Democratic Convention.

Friends of the young woman, now 33 years old, say she was removed from her position in 2004 because of her close friendship with Barack Obama. “She disappeared, then she reappeared in the Caribbean.”
The woman was purportedly sidelined from her duties after Senator Obama’s wife, Michelle, became convinced that he had developed a personal friendship with her.

How did we get from those wise quotes which we are completely removed from and need to see in our government today... to a comparison of sexual indiscretions?

Thomas Jefferson
If we go back to a government serving the people instead of government leaders serving themselves.
Jefferson is refreshing. King david abused his authority. The problems we see are symptoms of abuse of authority and power.
If I read the preface to King Saul, we see God spells out the problems Of tyranny

Because you said we need someone like the man Thomas Jefferson who had affairs not only in the US but abroad.
The problem is, because some of his quotes were what we believe , we tend to over look the whole of the man. His quotes do not change who he really was.
Our founding fathers were not the moral men that we make them out to be.
