Sarah Palin is divorcing husband Todd, according to a single source: the Alaska Report blog. The somewhat sketchy story spread quickly on Twitter (Twitter), but other news sites did not pick it up.

Now the Palin camp has moved to debunk the rumor, choosing an unlikely venue to do so: Facebook (Facebook). Palin spokesperson Meg Stapleton posted the following to Palin’s official Facebook page today:

Yet again, some so-called journalists have decided to make up a story. There is no truth to the recent “story” (and story is the correct term for this type of fiction) that the Palins are divorcing. The Palins remain married, committed to each other and their family, and have not purchased land in Montana (last week it was reported to be Long Island).

Less than one week ago, Governor Palin asked the media to “quit making things up.” We appreciate that the more professional journalists decided to question this story before repeating it.

I have a feeling all things are not as they appear. I am afraid the rumor may be true.

Something major would have to be behind her resignation of Governor. It could be all that she said or it could be as the rumor stated. Time will tell.

It could be true but I also saw one national gossip rag that hated President Bush have repeated front page stories about how he and Barbara were divorcing, he was drunk, etc. I would see this when checking out at the Grocery store. I belive the title was the National Examiner which makes the National Enquirer look classy! They had President Bush divorcing as their front page story at least three times during the last year or so of his Presidency. I noticed they were the only publication stating that so considered the source

I truly hope the report is wrong.

I just feel there is more to her leaving a position. Hope i'm wrong.

Her lawyer has also responded. Considering serving a slander summons and complaint to the blogger at work Monday.

We have divorce in out church. It is very difficult.

In the case of Gov Palin, it seems the vulgar democrats have atacked her most viciously.

Run off and marry another woman and get an abortion. Then she too would be a librull.
