Pray for America!
 

I believe we have reached a critical time that the church needs to wake up and pray for America.

I remember reading a book by Mary Stewart Relfe, When your money fails, I think was the book, anyway, she documented that as the church goes so goes the nation. If the church is backslid so is the nation.

Someone needs to wake up the church!

I think we all recognize that America is backslidden from God for the most part. Or at least the ones in power.

I know there are some churches that are trying to raise up prayer partners to pray for America.

Our only hope is in God.

Sister scream it loud, and scream it long! If you truly believe what you posted you will not only pray, but you will set the example. Yes, set an example of how all of us should behave as our America is being consumed with her children. This is an unprecedented time, where the Internet has supercharged our youth to view images that you and I had never been exposed to, when we were their age. Music, movies and young people's novels that focus on horror and the macabre. Next time you go to a Barnes and Nobles, Border's Books, and Books a Million, please go the teenage section. Young peoples' reading that is focused on promiscuity, and vampires. One book that is a national best seller (which never means a book is a good book, but just that it sells lots of copies) is the twilight saga.

As the country goes, so does the church? I will never forget reading a post written buy Pastor Keith McCann. The Brother posted this comment a few times during a thread where a group of us were going back and forth about some issue,( funny, how we don't remember the "issue.") The post that Brother McCann, wrote went something like this, while the Orthodox Russian Bishops, and Prelate's were arguing the length of the tassels on their clerical robes, Russia was falling to the Communists.

What does the future hold? If we keep going this rate, and refuse prayer, fasting, and separation from blending with the World. This country (mostly its cities) will have its people become nothing more than atheistic ghouls.
I don't mean some science fiction dark shadow, but where people will become the darkness, the bestial, and anti-Jesus, that they are now slouching towards. Let’s stay in prayer and win souls to Jesus Christ.

Brother I have been praying earnestly for our nation for some time. It greives me to the direction it is going.

I am sure there are many here that are praying for our nation, but it seems to me we need a concerted effort to really try and rally the masses to join us in prayer.

I would love to see churches of America coming together and focus praying for our nation, before that right is removed.

I think they need to do a little more than just gather around the flag pole.

Yet, I really do believe that this counrty is only going to get what it deserves.

This Sunday, my message will be the Signs of the Time, a prophetic update as to what is happening around us and that the end is soon upon us.

Yeah the end of foolishness. In every generation throughout the course of history, Jesus takes the broom from time to time to clean out the money changers. Men have climbed into pulpits and terrorized with shouted warnings of impending doom. The dooms are real, the carnage is marching towards the gates of the city, yet no rapture will whisk away the huddled masses. instead of teaching them to have power over the tribulation, power through the Holy Ghost, they are taught that they will escape what befalls their corrupt nation.
Jesus showed us a prayer life, one of vigilance, of watching. Before His trials and before His time of the cross, He prepared Himself. We who are of the Body of Christ best get prepared for our own personal end time.

Jesus taught maturity.

I don't believe that any "end" is near, just fear, and the fear is mostly due to being unprepared.

We need as Christians to focus on what is important,and focus on devotion to God and his word,and being the salt of the earth,and let the influence of the church be felt in every aspect of society.

While there is a resurrection of the just and the unjust,that we are anticipating,rapture fever has to a degree paralyzed the church from exercising her dominitive or spiritual authority in the earth,because if one's main objective is to fly away then how concerned will one be about being salt and light here ?while one is anticipating going to their long home.

We should be like the early church who turned the then known world upside down.
The influence of the Christian faith should be felt in every aspect of our society.

Sometimes bad things, very bad things have to happen for a nation or people to return to God, just real about Israel in the Old testament.



All the happy talk, recession is over folks nothing to see here, prosperity is just around the corner is not necessarily the real truth.
