Powdered Peanut Butter

Well, saints, I found something new and interesting and it's actually good!!! I ordered this powdered peanut butter online on this nutrition site, and it comes in a jar like regular pb, only it's powder. They take the peanuts and squeeze the oil out of them and you mix it with water, or just with jelly for a PBJ. I did it with water, and was really amazed. It's only 53 calories for 2 tablespoons, compared to 190 for Jif (my personal fave). Also, Jif has 16 fat grams, and this only has 1.87 fat grams!

I think it calls for a little too much water - it was a little thin for me, so next time I'm going to use a bit less. But the consistency is really like peanut butter that you buy. Amazing!!!:thumbsup

I love peanut butter, but it has too much fat so I seldom eat it. I would love to have the link to the online store you bought this from.

God Bless,

The link I used is www.netrition.com, but I just saw that you can buy them on www.bellplantation.com and they are offering a discount - the home page tells you the code to enter when you're checking out. I think Bell Plantation are the actual people who make the PB2.

Sherri, do you know if you can use this in baking?

This one has a little difference on the nutritional label -- but a big difference on the price & number of servings.

This one can be used in baking-- or add water to it for making sandwiches, etc.

Thanks, Tina, for posting this one. I hadn't seen it before. It is MUCH cheaper, but has about twice the fat grams and about 40% more calories. But it's still WAY less than normal peanut butter.

Not sure this would be my style.
But it sounds like it would have a great shelf life and be good for camping.

And good to add to a pantry of emergency supplies.

I buy lots of stuff from netrition. It is a great site.

The thing I like most is that shipping is $4.95... no matter what you order. So order a lot. LOL

I like the Mama Lupe low carb tortillas. They are lower in carbs than the standard low carb tortilla you can get at the store and they are bigger too.
