Adios (for a while, anyway)
 

Before I sound like a crybaby, let me first say that I think Admin does a good job, considering all. ManofWord, you have the right people doing the right job. You allow me, a non-apostolic-culture person to participate and you mostly all treat me as a brother. You even allow "WalksinIslam" to participate. It says a lot about a "system" by how much they accept differing viewpoints to participate.

Here's the "poor ole me" crybaby part: I'm going to bid farewell for now. I recently came back on and had some fun starting some threads. But the last one, "Am I Your Brother" took a turn a didn't expect and I was honestly just trying to stick the feet of those who are a little "narrow-minded" to the fire. It's always been a really tough question for some folks to answer and I thought it would be enjoyable to watch you good folks squirm in your seats a little bit. I, for sure, wasn't being mean-spirited. I just wanted to see how set in your doctrine you are.

The idea started in another thread when someone was pretty tough on me and I asked, "I have no problem saying you're my sister, but well, would you consider me your brother in Christ" and she wouldn't answer. Then another person wouldn't answer. So I started a thread.

And in that thread I was called:

1) delusional
2) Egotistical
3) Ridiculous
4) Ignorant
5) False Teacher
6) Narcissistic
7) Arrogant
8) Petulant Schoolboy
9) Swine Flu


I can laugh most of it off. But the "Narcissistic" got me. And "swine flu"?? Come on. I just don't wanna talk like that. It's no fun. It's not within a mile of Galatians 5:22. Once I had an Admin PM me and tell me I was too serious, to laugh a little. And that's much more my personality. And she was right and I've tried to do that, but some, if you don't follow their doctrine, the methodology doesn't matter.

I stopped laughing. It stopped being fun. I'm not innocent...I started a thread in response to the "My problem with AFF" thread and called it, "My superior problem with AFF" and said the apostolic forum should get rid of all the apostlics. I thought it was funny but Admin closed the thread, and they probably should have because I was irritating people. Like I said, I'm not innocent. My apologies to anyone that was irritated by that.

But the hurtful name-calling? I just get tired of it.

Like one president said, if you can't stand the heat get out of the kitchen. I can stand the heat of disagreement, but the heat of belittling and name-calling? Naaa....no thanks. So for now, I'll get out of the kitchen.

To all who have been kind, thank you, and Admin, if this is a thread that shouldn't be up, just toss it.
