I wonder why anyone would want to fight to prevent the auditing of the Fed Reserve. Hmm...maybe because then that information would likely be released to the news or net via a leak or FOIA and the people would begin to see the corruption and manipulation going on in the Fed.

They have too much to hide to have a thorough audit.

I have the answer given by them in one line why it is in the best interest of the people to not know the results of an audit.
