Culottes?

Does your church permit culottes on women?

Does the organization your church belongs permit culottes on women?

I would hope that regardless if they allow women to wear them that they don't allow the men to wear them either!!!

Does it make you wonder why men shouldn't wear them?

I don't know.

Are these culottes the kind that look like a skirt, or the ones that look more like gauchos?

I was allowed to wear them in p.e., nowhere else. I've considered getting them for my daughters.

I don't think the UPC has an official position on it, though the WeDeclare folks must. (no bifurcated garments)

They're "bifurcated" garments, thus they must be men's, right? ;)

More like gauchos. But gauchos are a little tighter through the seat than culottes, so they're not exactly the same. I've seen some women wear skorts to work outside, which have a skirt flap in the front, but not in the back.

Right. That would eliminate culottes and gauchos altogether--even those covered by material to look like a skirt.

Re: Culottes?

The culottes I wore in p.e. had a flap in front and back. It really looked like a skirt. My parents didn't care for the other kind, because when you sit down, they often tighten up around the legs, and look like pants.

I'd like to find a good source for culottes, but haven't seen any I like in a long time.

My daughters hate wearing shorts under their skirts, because they say they bug them, but I hate the immodesty that I see when they're playing and not wearing them. Especially on playgrounds!
